After Realme rising the prices of the budget smartphone Realme C1 & Realme 2 we now have the second Chinese brand to raise the pricing with none other than Xiaomi. Looks like with falling rupee value brands are forcing its customer to shell out more to buy their cheaper budget smartphones.
As per Xiaomi India, MD Manu Jain announced about the increase in pricing for the new Redmi 6A, Redmi 6, Mi TV Pro 32 inches and 49 inches which will be effective from Nov 11. As per the post, the new Redmi 6A which was originally launched at a starting price tag of Rs.5999 will be increased to Rs.6,599/- for 2GB+16GB and Rs.7499/- for the 2GB+32GB variant. So they have raised the prices by Rs.600 and Rs.500 respectively.
The new Redmi 6 is now priced at Rs.8499/- for the 3GB+32GB variant which is again increased by Rs.500/-. Apart from the mobiles we also saw an increase in pricing for the recently launched Mi TV 4 Pro series. Xiaomi has increased the price of the Mi TV 4C Pro 32 inches by Rs.1000/- which will now cost Rs.15,999/- and Mi TV 4A Pro 49 inches which are increased by Rs.2000/- which will now be priced at Rs.31,999/-.
Apart from that, Xiaomi has also increased the pricing for the latest Mi Powerbank 2i Black 10000 mAh battery from Rs.799/- to Rs.899/-. Xiaomi also shared that the increase in pricing is due to falling rupee value day by day.
