Motorola launched the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus last year which was running on Android 7.0 without any custom skin. Till date, Motorola didn’t update the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus to latest Android version. Now Lenovo owned Motorola has confirmed they have started rolling out the Android Oreo update.
As per the Lenovo Forum, many users were waiting for the latest Android Oreo update and were unhappy with the company for the delay. Finally, Motorola confirmed that Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus are now receiving the Android Oreo update with a catch.
Motorola is currently pushing the Android Oreo update only in Mexico for the Moto G5. Moto G5 Plus is receiving the Android Oreo update only in India and Brazil at the moment. So if you are from other countries then your wait is not yet over and Motorola has still yet to confirm for the new Android Oreo update.
