Samsung finally unveiled the new Samsung Galaxy Note 9 today in the US after series of leaks and rumors. The new Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will go on pre-orders in the US from today and will be available from Aug 24 in select markets. The new Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is priced at $999.99 (Rs.68,800/-) for 6GB+128GB and $1249.99 (Rs.86,000/-) for 8GB+512GB in the US. The new Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will be available in Midnight Black, Lavender Purple, Metallic Copper with matching S Pen, and Ocean Blue with a Yellow S Pen.
Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is having the same old design as the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 but with redesigned camera setup. It weighs around 201 grams and is 8.8mm thick. The device features a metal frame with glass back.
It will sport 6.4 inches QHD+ Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2960*1440p covered with 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on both front as well as the back of the device.
Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is powered by SD845 SoC in the US and Exynos 9810 SoC Globally coupled with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/512GB internal storage. The storage can be expanded via microSD card slot up to 512GB. It will also feature Samsung’s Water Carbon Cooling system and on-device AI-based performance.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 features the same cameras as the Samsung Galaxy S9+ with Dual cameras aligned horizontally having a primary sensor of 12MP with a variable aperture of f/1.5 or f/2.4, OIS, AF, Dual Pixel and secondary telephoto 12MP camera with an aperture of f/2.4, AF and OIS along with Dual LED flash and 10X digital as well as 2X optical zoom. There is an 8MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/1.7 and Auto Focus (AF) which also features Face Unlock.
The new Samsung Galaxy Note 9 camera comes with Scene Optimizer which automatically detects the scenes with the help of AI and gives stunning real-life images. It also comes with Flaw Detection which automatically notifies users if the shot is blurry.
The connectivity options include Dual SIM (Hybrid SIM Slot) with 4G LTE and VoLTE support, Dual Band Wifi with enhanced 4×4 MIMO 5CA, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, MST, A-GPS, GLONASS, fingerprint scanner, IRIS scanner, Heart Rate sensor, USB Type-C and 3.5 mm audio port.
The new Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will also have an IP68 rating which makes the device dust and water resistant. For the first time, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will be the first smartphone to come with advanced S-Pen with Bluetooth LE support aka Ultimate Remote control. The new S-Pen can be used to take perfect camera shot via S-Pen button which can also use to show the presentation either swipe left or right or play and pause videos.
Apart from this Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will also come with new DeX cable which can be connected through USB Type-C port and act as a bridge to connect with your screen via HDMI out. One can browse your phone and work on the large screen simultaneously which was missing on earlier DeX pad. So basically there is no need of DeX pad anymore.
Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is fueled with larger 4000 mAh battery support for Quick charging along with fast wireless charging and runs on Android 8.1 with Samsung Experience UI on top.
