Oppo is now planning to introduce the cheaper variant of Oppo R15 series with Oppo R15 Neo. As per the listing on Bluetooth certification, the new device will be called as Oppo R15 Neo in China and Oppo AX5 globally.
Now the device with model number Oppo CPH1851 which is the same device earlier spotted on Bluetooth SIG has now received the NCC certification in Taiwan. The new NCC certification also confirms the CPH1851 will be called as Oppo AX5 or Oppo R15 Neo. Apart from that, we also got the live images of the device.
As per the leaked images, the new Oppo R15 Neo will come with display notch which carries the earpiece, selfie camera, and sensor. On the back, we have the Dual rear camera aligned horizontally with LED flash along with Oppo branding. Sadly, there is no fingerprint scanner and might rely on the Face Unlock feature.
On the bottom of the device, we just have speaker mesh, 3.5 mm audio jack, and a micro USB port. On the right, we have the volume rockers with power key. The same device was also spotted on Geekbench. As per the listing, the new Oppo PABM00 aka alleged Oppo R15 Neo will be powered with SD625 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM and runs on Android 8.1.
We can expect that Oppo PABM00 & Oppo CPH1851 might be launched as Oppo R15 Neo in China and as Oppo AX5 in Global markets later this year.
