As promised, Vivo recently unveiled the X200 Ultra, the company’s newest smartphone in the X200 series, in China.
Vivo X200 Ultra:
The new Vivo X200 Ultra features a 6.82-inch 2K AMOLED BOE quad-curved display with a resolution of 2800×1260 pixels. It has a 120Hz refresh rate and a 300Hz touch sampling rate. The device is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen Elite SoC coupled with 16GB/12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB UFS 4.0 storage options.
The new Vivo X200 Ultra features a 50 MP Sony Lytia LYT-818 1-inch sensor with an aperture of f/1.57. The 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP9 telephoto sensor with f/2.5 aperture that gets 3.7x optical zoom and 85mm focal length support. Lastly, there is a 50 MP Sony Lytia LYT-818 ultrawide camera with an f/2.0 aperture, telephoto macro capabilities, Zeiss T* coating, ZEISS optics, and an LED flash. The device comes with a 50MP selfie shooter.
The Vivo X200 Ultra comes with dual ISP, featuring the VS1 and V3+. The V3+ handles the standard “post-processing tasks,” while the VS1 optimises the “preliminary processing of raw data” to maximise image quality.
Vivo’s Multi-Focal Portrait Video Master is another innovation that is enhancing video quality. The X200 Ultra can handle 4K60 10bit Log and 4K120 footage, and it is expected to produce videos that look like movies. It’s interesting to note that Vivo is releasing a Photographer Kit accessory this time that comes with a case, camera grip, and a ZEISS 2.35x Telephoto Converter.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with Dual 4G LTE and 5G (Dual-Mode support), A-GPS, GPS, GLONASS, NAVIC, Dual Band Wi-Fi/Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. The Vivo X200 Ultra series features an Ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner and an IR Blaster. It is also IP68/IP69 rated, making it both dust and water-resistant.
The Vivo X200 Ultra has a 6000 mAh battery that supports 90W wired and 50W wireless fast charging. It runs on Android 15 OS with Origin OS 5 on top.
Pricing:
The Vivo X200 Ultra costs CNY 6,499 (approximately Rs. 76,100) for the 12 GB/256 GB variant. The Vivo X200 Ultra is available with 16GB/512GB for CNY 6,999 (approximately Rs. 81,900) and 16gb/1TB for CNY 7,999 (approximately Rs. 93,500). It will be available in Titanium, White, and Grey.
