According to several rumours, OnePlus is scheduled to release three smartphones during the second quarter of this year. The OnePlus 13T was the first of these to be released today, and the Dimensity 9400e and Dimensity 9400 Plus chipsets will be found in the remaining two Ace-branded smartphones.
According to earlier reports, these devices would be known as the Ace 5V and Ace 5S. However, the OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition will be the actual name of the gadget powered by the Dimensity 9400e, according to a recent leak by tipster Digital Chat Station.
DCS claims that the OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition would have a flat, 6.77-inch LTPS OLED screen. Rumoured to be a modified version of the Dimensity 9300 Plus chipset, the yet-to-be-announced Dimensity 9400e CPU could be housed under the hood.
The phone is likely to feature a 16-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies, as well as a 50-megapixel primary sensor paired with a 2-megapixel secondary lens on the back. Additional information from the leak suggests that the screen has an optical fingerprint scanner built into it, and that a plastic frame was used in its manufacturing.
The Ace 5 Racing Edition is expected to feature a massive 7,000mAh battery, according to earlier reports. According to recent rumours, the Dimensity 9400e processor may outperform the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. It is therefore anticipated to compete with the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro and the iQOO Z10 Turbo, both of which use the aforementioned Snapdragon chipset.
OnePlus plans to release its two flagship phones under the Ace brand in the second half of May, according to a DCS Weibo post from earlier this week.
