The Galaxy M36, which Samsung is developing, was recently discovered on the web database Geekbench after a prototype passed the benchmark. As per usual, this gives us a preview of its specifications, including its SoC, RAM, and the Android version it will launch with.
The Galaxy M36 that ran Geekbench is the global version, with model number SM-M366B. The Exynos 1380 SoC, which was combined with 6GB of RAM in that particular prototype, powers it. From day one, the phone will run Android 15 with One UI 7 installed.
Regretfully, the Galaxy M36’s further specifications have not yet been released. The Galaxy M35 was nearly identical to the Galaxy A35 from last year, but it featured a fingerprint sensor on the side and a larger 6,000 mAh battery. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, used by the currently available A36, will be another distinction between the two, albeit something similar may occur this year.
Expect the Galaxy M36 to feature a 6.7-inch 1080×2340 Super AMOLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 1,900 nits. It will also feature up to 12GB of RAM, 128/256GB of storage, a 50mp primary camera, an 8mp ultrawide lens, a 5mp macro lens, and a 12mp selfie camera, if everything else remains the same.
