Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold devices have offered an under-display selfie camera since the Galaxy Z Fold3 in 2021. Users cannot see the camera, but it provides inferior image quality compared to conventional selfie cameras. According to a new leak, this camera will not be included in a future Galaxy S model.

Samsung plans to add an under-display selfie camera to the next Galaxy S model (presumably the S26 Ultra), but is struggling to reduce costs and “other aspects.” According to the report, the company has decided to postpone the adoption of this technology.

Please remember that this tipster doesn’t always source their reports, so take this with a grain of salt. However, conflicting reports about an under-display selfie camera in the Galaxy S26 Ultra have emerged from dubious sources.

Due to its foldable screen, the Galaxy Z Fold series can get away with an under-display camera. A conventional selfie camera is on the cover display for taking high-quality photos and videos. Initially, Samsung marketed the Z Fold’s under-display camera as a video calling device instead of a selfie camera.

Approximately a month earlier, Galaxy Club reported that Samsung would integrate a better selfie camera into the Galaxy Z Fold7. It doesn’t seem like the upcoming Fold will eliminate it.
