Now that the Galaxy S25 hype has subsided, it’s time to focus on the next generation. A lot of news about the Galaxy S26 series is coming out, with the Ultra model grabbing most of the attention.
According to early reports, Samsung will deliver the same experience as last year, not an upgrade. Samsung’s Galaxy S25 was a disappointing upgrade, as were the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S23, etc. It’s unlikely that the Galaxy S26 phones will be released anytime soon.
PandaFlash on X just shared some details about the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature a 200MP camera, which is also on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Samsung will even use the HP2 sensor. Samsung will only use “updated pixels and a new lens.”
Samsung will follow the lead of all other Android manufacturers and skip adding magnetic rings to its phones. Without a case, you can’t use any MagSafe accessories. MagSafe remains Apple’s weapon of choice, so it’s disappointing to see it disappear.
Samsung will not retire the S Pen next year, though there have been reports that the company will ditch the iconic S Pen in a future model. The company will remain around for at least another year, though we don’t know when.
