A few brands use their chips in smartphones, such as Samsung. All Galaxy devices, from budget to flagship, are powered by the Exynos lineup. Like the Galaxy Z series of foldable phones, Samsung’s more premium smartphones typically launch with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 series chips. Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip7 appears to be an exception to this rule.
Seoul Economic Daily has the latest information. According to a new report, Samsung plans to begin mass production of the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 next month. We were particularly intrigued by the details regarding Samsung’s next-generation flip phone. Samsung will apparently launch the Galaxy Z Flip7 with an Exynos 2500-only processor.
The Exynos 2500 chipset was rumoured to be included in the Galaxy S25. So, for the first time, Samsung’s flip phone won’t have a Snapdragon chip. According to industry sources, the company will start mass producing both foldable smartphones next month in South Korea and Vietnam.
The Galaxy Z Flip7 may have a larger display cover, and its protective cases have also been leaked. According to the report, Samsung plans to produce 240,000 Galaxy Z Flip 7s and 170,000 Galaxy Z Flip7 FEs in the second quarter of 2025. However, the Galaxy Z Fold7 would receive an initial batch of 160,000 units.
