Some Samsung phones have had a “green line” issue since last year. On the display panel, a vertical green or pink line may appear for no apparent reason. The only fix is to replace the screen, which can be expensive.

With the Galaxy S21 series, Galaxy S21 FE, and Galaxy S22 Ultra, Samsung India has been offering free screen replacement for about a year. The claim period was initially set to end on December 31st, 2024, but has now been extended until September 30th, 2025.

Last year, Samsung India had committed to providing a free screen replacement until September 30th, 2024. As a result, the deadline was later extended to December 31, 2024.

Since Samsung did not officially communicate an extension, those who missed the previous deadline would have assumed they needed to pay now. Samsung India’s support channels have confirmed that the period has been extended until the end of September.

The full list of eligible devices has not been released by support, but it’s likely to be the same as it has always been, including the Galaxy S21 series, Galaxy S21 FE, and Galaxy S22 Ultra.

It was clarified in the campaign terms that customers would receive free screen replacements, but they would still have to pay for labor. For the service to be provided, the original purchase receipt must also be presented at Samsung’s customer service centre. It is likely that those terms still apply.
