On April 23 at 16:00 (China time), Realme will officially launch its next flagship, the Realme GT7. The announcement, presented through the brand’s Weibo account, indicates an aggressive price-to-performance positioning for the device. Digital Chat Station and company executives shared interesting details about the phone’s chipset, battery, and display.

With a cutting-edge 3nm process and a high-performance CPU configuration, the Realme GT7 is the first smartphone to use MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400+ chipset. The device will also feature a 144Hz flat OLED eye-care display sourced from BOE, an embedded ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and an IP68/IP69-rated body that will provide strong water and dust resistance.

It features a massive 7,000mAh+ battery with 100W wired fast charging, packed in a slim body under 8.3mm thick and weighing less than 205 grams. Realme’s lightweight design employs advanced thermal management using graphene cooling called “Ice Skin”, which is claimed to dissipate heat six times better than regular glass. The device will use a plastic mid-frame to achieve its thin and light profile.

Regarding its camera, the GT7 is expected to come with a 50-megapixel main sensor that utilizes optical image stabilization. Combining power, design, and endurance is set to be a new benchmark for flagship phones on a budget.
