The Oppo Find X8 Ultra is Oppo’s flagship phone for 2025, which refines everything that made the X7 Ultra great. We’ll cover the Oppo Find X8s and X8s+ separately.
There’s a nicer design, better performance, a bigger battery, and improved cameras.
OPPO Find X8 Ultra:
The new Oppo Find X8 Ultra will sport a 6.82-inch LTPO BOE 8T OLED curved QHD+ (3,168×1,440p) display. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. As expected, it gets an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner.
The Oppo Find X8 Ultra will feature a Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC with 12GB/16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB/512GB UFS 4.0 internal storage space. The Find X8 Ultra’s standout feature is its HyperTone Camera System, which houses a Quad Main Camera and HyperTone Image Engine.
On paper at least, Oppo upgraded the two zoom cameras on the Find X8 Ultra while leaving the main camera mostly unchanged. Additionally, Hasselblad-tuned processing, combined with the True Chroma camera, delivers accurate skin tones under any lighting condition – a feature extensively demonstrated during the launch event.
The Oppo Find X8 Ultra will feature the new 50MP main second-gen Sony LYT-900 sensor with an f/1.75 aperture, 8P glass lens & OIS. It is coupled with a secondary 50MP 110-degree ultra-wide JN5 sensor with f/2.2 aperture, with a 4cm macro option. There is a 50MP Sony LYT-700 telephoto lens with f/2.6 aperture & 3x optical zoom & 50MP Sony LYT-600 telephoto lens with 6x optical zoom, and OIS support. The new Oppo Find X8 Ultra will indeed come with Hasselblad cameras. There is a 32MP Sony IMX709 selfie shooter placed under the punch-hole display.
The connectivity option includes dual SIM with dual 4G LTE, 5G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi-7, A-GPS, and GLONASS. Further, it comes with NFC, Bluetooth 5.3, and a USB Type-C port. The Oppo Find X8 Ultra packs a 6100 mAh battery with 100W fast wired and 50W wireless charging support. It also gets an IP68/69 rating, making the device dust—and water-resistant. In addition, Oppo claims a five-star drop resistance rating from SGS.
New Button:
The Oppo Find X8 Ultra has two new physical controls: a Shortcut button on the upper left edge and a Quick button on the bottom right edge. The Shortcut button can be customized for various functions, while the Quick button is primarily used for camera control. The Oppo Find X8 Pro has one similar to this.
Pricing:
Oppo claims the Find X8 Ultra is the thinnest flagship smartphone at 8.78mm. It is available in three colors—matte Black, Pure White, and Shell Pink—all of which have smooth, matte surfaces on both the metal rails and the glass panels.
