OnePlus is removing the Alert Slider. According to the company, a smart button will be more customizable, which fans have demanded. OnePlus 13T will likely be the first phone to ditch the slider for a customizable button.
The OnePlus 13T has been upgraded with a new shortcut key,” Li Jie, President of OnePlus China, said. Like the slider, it will be able to switch between Silent, Vibration, and Ringing modes and provide easy access to other features. Soon, OnePlus will reveal “a very interesting function” for the button.
According to OnePlus, fans of small phones prefer flat screens, so the OnePlus 13T will have a small screen. It hasn’t been officially confirmed, but rumors say the 13T will have a 6.3″ display.
Li Jie confirmed that the OnePlus 13T will have a battery with at least 6,000mAh capacity and weigh 185g. The battery inside the 6.82″ OnePlus 13 (weighing 210g) is as large – if not bigger – than this one.
OnePlus 13T will be unveiled later this month, but a concrete date hasn’t been set.
