A new report suggests that Google’s Pixel 10 series could soon see major price changes.

According to leaks so far, Google won’t be changing the design of the Pixel 10 this year, but it will introduce a few camera changes along with its new TSMC chipsets. However, a new report claims Google will change its Pixel 10 series’ pricing and future plans.

The article cites “sources familiar with Google’s plans” and makes a few key claims: the Pixel 10 line will see price changes, Google will lower prices on foldable devices, and the core Pixel lineup won’t change.

According to the report, until Pixel 13 in 2028, the smaller “Pro” Pixel will remain in the lineup. As of 2028, Google will release an A-series, base Pixel flagship, two Pro models, and one foldable every year.

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold may drop to $1,600. Google is estimated to make its foldable available for $1,500 by 2028 (and 2027 and 2026—all three years are mentioned). Until 2028, the Pixel A-series costs $499. Lastly, Pixel 10 Pro XL gets a $100 price increase, not Pixel 10 Pro.

Specifically, the report claims that Google will achieve a price point of $1,500 by 2028 for its foldable Pixel Fold phone. It is still unclear why the 2028 date and the author’s tweet are mentioned in the report’s summary (not in the actual report).

The Pixel 12a is expected to cost $499 in 2028, while the A-series as a whole will remain $499 for a few years.” It is also reported that the Pixel 10 Pro XL will cost $1,200 in 2028. As previously reported, the Pixel 10 will be sold for the same $799 as the Pixel 9, initially pinned at $799.
