Earlier this month, Xiaomi confirmed launching a new Civi-branded phone featuring a compact design and significant improvements. Tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed details about a new Xiaomi smartphone that could push the limits of thin and lightweight design. The tipster has spilled details about the upcoming Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro.

Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro’s alleged body thickness is around 7mm. It will be powered by a high-performance Snapdragon 8 series chipset and a single-cell 6000mAh battery—one of the largest ever seen in such a slim device.

The tipster did not explicitly mention the chipset’s name, but reports indicate it will be a Snapdragon 8s Elite chip. According to the leak, the Civi 5 Pro’s rear camera could include a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with a 3x optical zoom.

Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro is expected to be significantly thinner while offering a larger battery. Last year’s Civi 4 Pro featured a 4,700mAh battery inside a 7.5mm body.

According to previous reports, the Civi 5 Pro will feature a circular camera module at the top-left corner and a glass build. On the front, the phone will have a curved-edge screen with dual selfie cameras and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. The device is expected to cost around 3,000 Yuan (~$415). Xiaomi is rumoured to rebrand the device as the Xiaomi 15 Civi in India.
