Galaxy S25 was initially supposed to use Samsung’s Exynos 2500 chipset, but yield issues prevented that. After hearing that it would be included in the Galaxy Z Flip7, a Korean report today casts doubt on that claim.
Samsung’s mobile division disagrees, and it’s likely that the Exynos 2500 will only be used in the cheaper Galaxy Z Flip FE. It is also expected to arrive several months after the Flip7 and Fold7, which are expected to launch in July.
With this timeline, Samsung would have plenty of time to reach good yields with the Exynos 2500. It is still too early to make any decisions. Despite the Flip’s successful formula, Samsung does not want to upset it by adding a Snapdragon chipset that alienates prospective buyers. As a result, the Exynos 2500 was relegated to the cheaper model.
Samsung obviously does not want the Exynos 2500 debacle to repeat itself with the Exynos 2600, so it is making an “all-out effort” to make it perfect. The Galaxy S26 series will undoubtedly include the device, which will be developed earlier than the 2500.
