According to rumors, Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra will offer only subtle upgrades over its predecessor, the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Samsung fans hoped for groundbreaking changes with the S26 Ultra, but reports indicate the improvements will be limited to design, display, and charging features.

Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to have slimmer bezels, allowing for a larger screen-to-body ratio than Galaxy S25 Ultra. According to PandaFlash X, the highly anticipated under-display camera (UDC) will remain exclusive to the Galaxy Z Fold. With the same 12MP selfie camera and Infinity-O display as the current flagship device, the S26 Ultra will carry over the existing punch-hole camera design.

Faster charging speeds may not be available with the S26 Ultra, either. For years, Samsung has used 45W charging. Since your existing accessory will become incompatible, you will experience the feel of a new adapter, at best.

According to the tipster, it may be 45w or 50w. If you plan to upgrade next year with your existing adapter, you may feel forced to purchase another adapter with added packaging and harm to the environment. Moreover, the Galaxy S26 lineup could (and should) disappoint many users.

However, the S26 Ultra chips will be upgraded. According to reports, it’ll be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset, while some regions may receive the Exynos 2600. The performance gains over the S25 Ultra remain to be seen, though this promises improved processing power.

As this year’s flagships offer only a few minor upgrades, waiting for the Galaxy S26 Ultra was previously considered a good idea for those who don’t need an urgent upgrade. Samsung, however, isn’t taking a different approach to its S26 lineup if the rumors are true.
