Samsung has revealed the official One UI 7 rollout schedule. The long-awaited update is expected to begin seeding on April 7 for the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6, and Galaxy Z Flip6. According to the company, the update enables greater personalization and control while enhancing the user experience with an “AI-driven interface.”
As the update is rolled out, more Samsung smartphones and tablets will be supported, including the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5, Galaxy Tab S10 series, and Tab S9 series. Depending on the market, some countries will receive the update before others.
Among the new features in One UI 7 are the Now Bar, streamlined visuals, new widgets, and lock screen customizations. In addition to AI Select and Writing Assist, Galaxy Note 8 users will also get Audio Eraser and Drawing Assists.
One UI 7:
With One UI 7, Galaxy users get a clean, emotive, and streamlined design. Among the new features are a simplified home screen, redesigned One UI widgets, and a reimagined lock screen.
The “Now Bar” on the lock screen displays real-time updates. With a quick swipe, users can check their progress while running or see what’s playing on their Galaxy Buds.
AI tools in One UI 7 make everyday tasks easier and foster creativity. Using AI Select, for instance, context is analyzed, and relevant suggestions are offered. Users can tap the AI Select icon and save videos as GIFs using the Edge Panel. Writing Assist makes summarizing and formatting text easier.
