With six OS upgrades planned for the new A-series (A16 and higher), Samsung is establishing the standard for support for mid-range and reasonably priced devices. This version also improves the camera, speeds up charging, and increases performance. Samsung announces the new Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36, and Galaxy A26.
Galaxy A56:
The Galaxy A56 5G sports the same 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rates. It has optical in-display fingerprint scanner support with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+. The new Exynos 1580 SoC powers the Galaxy A55 5G with 6GB/8GB RAM and a 128GB/256GB storage option. Expanding memory through a microSD card slot is also possible.
The new Galaxy A56 5G will feature triple-rear cameras: a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and OIS, a 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide sensor, and a 5MP macro sensor with an f/2.4 aperture and LED flash. The device also has a 12MP selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.2.
The Galaxy A56 5G will ship with the same 5000 mAh battery but with 45W fast charge support. It also gets an IP67 rating, making it dust—and water-resistant, and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 5G, Dual 4G LTE and VoLTE support, Wifi 6.0, A-GPS, NFC, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.3 USB Type-C port, FM Radio, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. Samsung Galaxy A55 5G runs on Android 15 with One UI 7.0. It measures 7.4mm thick and weighs 198g.

Galaxy A36:
The new Galaxy A36 5G will sport a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 7+ on top. It is powered by Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC coupled with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage space. It measures 8.2mm thick and weighs 209g.
Samsung Galaxy A35 5G will feature triple-rear cameras with LED flash. The device will have a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide unit with an f/2.2 aperture. There is also a 5MP macro-sensor with an f/2.4 aperture and LED flash. Under the waterdrop notch, there is a 12MP selfie shooter.
The device will ship with the same 5000 mAh battery with 45W fast charge support. It runs on Android 15 OS with One UI 7 on top. It features an in-display fingerprint scanner and an IP67 rating, making it dust—and water-resistant.

The Galaxy A26 features triple-rear cameras on the back, including a 50MP primary shooter with an f/1.8 aperture and OIS. There is also an 8MP Ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro sensor with an aperture of f/2.4 and LED flash.
The Galaxy A26 5G is powered by an Exynos 1380 SoC coupled with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB internal storage. It also comes with a dedicated microSD card slot. It is packed with a 5000 mAh battery with 25W fast charging support and runs on Android 15 with One UI 7 on top. Further, the device also features a fingerprint scanner on the side.
There will be four years of OS updates and five years of security updates. Samsung Knox security and Samsung Pay will also be included. The Galaxy A26 5G has stereo speakers despite being a budget device. It measures 7.7mm thick & weighs 197g.

Pricing:
The basic 128GB variant of the Samsung Galaxy A26 costs €300, while the 256GB upgrade costs €370/£300/$300. The price of the Samsung Galaxy A36 is the same as that of its predecessor: $400/€380 for the 128GB basic model and €450/£400 for the 256GB upgrade.
The 128 GB model of the Galaxy A56 costs €479/$499, while the 256 GB model costs €529/£499
The prices and availability of the Samsung Galaxy A26, A36, and A56 in India will be revealed on March 3.
The Galaxy A56 5 G is available in the colors Awesome Lightgray, Awesome Graphite, Awesome Olive, and Awesome Pink. The Galaxy A26 5G comes in Black, White, Mint, and Peach Pink, while the Galaxy A36 5G comes in Awesome Lavender, Black, White, and Awesome Lime.
