It is rumored that POCO will launch its F7 Pro and F7 Ultra phones on March 27th. Recent leaks of the phone’s specifications and renders gave us a sneak peek at what to expect. In the past, it was speculated that the new POCO flagships, the F7 Pro and F7 Ultra, might not be available in India. Going by POCO India’s hints, there could be some changes in plans.
A tweet by X user Tech Home (who shared the POCO F7 Ultra render) prompted POCO India head Himanshu Tandon to ask whether the F7 Ultra or Pro should be brought to India.
POCO F7, F7 Pro and F7 Ultra chipsets, batteries, and fast charging details were also revealed on X. For the POCO F7 Ultra, a 5,300mAh battery was reported, for the POCO F7 Pro, a 6,000mAh battery, and the POCO F7, a 6,500mAh battery.
The Redmi K80 Pro, which will launch as POCO F7 Ultra in global markets, has a 6,000mAh battery, while the Redmi K80, which could be rebranded as POCO F7 Pro, has a 6,550mAh battery. A user tagged Himanshu (POCO India head) and asked why the POCO F7 Ultra’s battery capacity had been reduced.
In response, the top executive said that the brand prefers phones launching in India to have a higher battery capacity. The Indian version of the POCO X7 Pro has a 6,550mAh battery compared to the global version’s 6,000mAh. If the brand decides to launch them, POCO’s F7 Pro and F7 Ultra may come with a bigger battery.
The POCO India head said, “Let’s wait” when a user requested a 7,500mAh battery for the vanilla POCO F7. Following the global launch of its premium flagships, POCO is rumored to bring those devices to India.
