In terms of design, the Pixel 9a is similar to the other Pixel 9 series devices. The front panel is made of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with flat edges that blend into the aluminum frame. A flat polycarbonate panel completes the slab-like exterior on the back. There is a noticeable difference between this and its predecessor, the Pixel 8a, which featured rounded edges. In addition, the phone is now IP68-compliant, which means it is dust- and water-resistant.
