Earlier this week, we saw photos of iPhone 17 dummies, which revealed Apple’s major redesign for 2025. Several dummies have been photographed today, revealing fascinating details about their construction.

MagSafe is standard on all four models. The characteristic magnet ring on the back and the alignment magnet below it are visible. If you look closely, both Pros have tall and wide camera islands.

The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max have a cutout surrounding the MagSafe area. According to previous reports, the frame will be metal—maybe aluminum this time—with a glass window.

Extra metal on the back of the Pros should increase rigidity, while the glass window will allow wireless charging. iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air will have glass backs, so there will be no need for windows. As you can see in teardown videos, previous iPhones all had glass backs.
