Vivo’s upcoming X200 Ultra is set to be its flagship camera phone for 2025, designed to rival the Xiaomi 15 Ultra and Oppo’s Find X8 Ultra. According to a now-deleted Weibo post from well-known Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station, the X200 Ultra will feature a highly advanced camera system.
The device will reportedly include a 50 MP main camera with a 1/1.28″ sensor, a 50 MP ultrawide camera with the same sensor size, and a 200 MP periscope telephoto camera with a 1/1.4″ sensor.
One interesting detail about the camera setup is that the prototypes seem to display the ultrawide at 1x zoom in the viewfinder, while the main camera is set to 1.5x. While this configuration makes sense from a logical standpoint, users are accustomed to seeing the main camera at 1x and the ultrawide at 0.5x or 0.6x.
Beyond the cameras, the X200 Ultra will reportedly feature a 6.8-inch “2K” LTPO OLED display with micro-curved edges, ultra-narrow bezels, and a circular camera island.
However, the details were removed after Digital Chat Station edited his original post, sparking speculation that the information was released prematurely. The edited post simply contained the word “early,” adding to the mystery. While there’s a possibility that the details were inaccurate, Digital Chat Station has claimed to have personally handled an X200 Ultra prototype, which raises questions about the accuracy of the post’s contents.
The X200 Ultra is expected to launch around March or April, though it’s worth noting that it will likely only be available in China.
