Amidst the buzz surrounding Vivo’s forthcoming V50, another device is quietly making its way into the spotlight—the Vivo V50e. While the V50 has been the subject of numerous leaks recently, the V50e has remained largely under wraps, with only a single mention until now.
Recently, the Vivo V50e, identified by the model number V2428, surfaced on the Geekbench AI database. This unexpected appearance has unveiled some of the handset’s core specifications. Notably, the V50e is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset. Interestingly, this is the same processor that fueled its predecessor, the Vivo V40e, which debuted just a few months ago.
Accompanying the chipset is 8GB of RAM, mirroring the memory configuration of the V40e. However, a significant upgrade comes in the form of the operating system. The V50e is set to launch with Android 15 right out of the box, offering users the latest features and improvements from Google’s OS—an advancement over the V40e.
While the hardware similarities suggest that the V50e could be an incremental upgrade. The early adoption of Android 15 hints at Vivo’s intent to keep the device competitive. Much remains unknown about the V50e, and Vivo may have more surprises in store, possibly in the realms of camera enhancements, design refinements, or battery optimizations.
Performance-wise, the prototype of the V50e has yielded some intriguing results on Geekbench AI. The device recorded a Single Precision Score of 529, a Half Precision Score of 1,316, and a Quantized Score of 2,632. These figures provide an early glimpse into the AI processing capabilities of the phone. Suggesting competent performance in tasks that leverage machine learning and AI features.
