Samsung typically introduces every product in its range at a single smartphone market event. However, with the launch of the Galaxy S FE smartphones, the firm has somewhat modified this approach. With the release of the Galaxy Z Fold SE last year, it also expanded this approach to its foldable. According to a recent report, Samsung will not release its first tri-fold smartphone with the seventh-generation Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip models.

In light of the backdrop, Samsung will probably introduce the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 during the second Unpacked event in H2 2025. We could also see the Galaxy Z Flip FE on the same day, which is more reasonably priced. Nevertheless, developing the company’s most inventive foldable device will take a little longer.

On X/Twitter, trustworthy tipster Max Jambor said that Samsung’s first tri-fold smartphone will not be released with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7. The message goes on to say that the gadget “will be unveiled at a later point in time.” No more specifics are available about when the product will be formally revealed. However, the South Korean behemoth usually releases the Galaxy S FE versions between September and October. Therefore, the corporation may decide to conduct the unveiling within that period. However, there is currently no confirmation, so this is just speculation.

The insider claims that Samsung may reveal its tri-fold phone at the same time as the Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7 are released. However, this wouldn’t be a launch in the traditional sense.

Samsung’s tri-fold gadget is reportedly set to launch a new product line named “Galaxy G.” The business may not be utilizing the Galaxy Z name that all of its foldables have been using for years, which comes as a bit of a surprise. Although not much is known about the gadget, it is said to have a 9.96-inch unfurled display. Finally, it is claimed to have a form factor in which the screen’s left and right parts fold inward. This will distinguish it from the Huawei Mate X, which has a foldable form factor that is “zigzag.”
