The Oppo Find N5 sets a new standard for slimness in the foldable phone category, measuring 160.87 x 74.42 x 8.95mm when folded. At 229 grams, it is also marginally lighter than its predecessor, the Find N3, which tipped the scales at 239 grams and 245 grams for its various models.

Aside from being slim and light, the N5 is the world’s first foldable with IPX6, IPX8, and IPX9 water resistance ratings. As a result, it can handle hot water jets and submersion under pressure. This phone has an aluminium frame made from the 7000 series.

The Titanium Flexion Hinge is 26% smaller than the Find N3’s hinge and offers improved rigidity. To keep the N5’s weight to 229 grams, Oppo used a complex 3D-printed titanium wing panel and a blend of carbon fibre material. Also, the new hinge reduced the dreaded display crease on the main panel.
