Oppo is reportedly planning to introduce two new additions to its Find series in March, specifically for the Chinese market. These devices are the highly anticipated Find X8 Ultra and a more compact model, the Find X8 Mini. Renowned leaker Digital Chat Station has recently disclosed some key details about the Mini variant, including its camera specifications in a recent Weibo post.

Based on the latest leak, the Find X8 Mini will come equipped with a triple-camera system. The primary sensor is a 50-megapixel shooter featuring a large 1/1.56-inch sensor size, optical image stabilization (OIS), and an f/1.8 aperture, which should enhance its performance in low-light conditions. Earlier leaks from the same source suggested that the main camera would belong to Sony’s IMX9 series, but this new information points toward the possibility of it being a Sony IMX866 sensor.

The secondary lens is a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with an f/2.0 aperture, making it suitable for capturing wide landscapes or group photos. Rounding out the trio is a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens, offering 3.5x optical zoom with an f/2.8 aperture. This telephoto lens provides a versatile focal range of 0.6x to 7x, allowing users to capture distant subjects with impressive clarity.

In terms of design, the Find X8 Mini is expected to be a compact device, boasting a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED display with a flat panel and slim bezels. The screen will support a resolution of 1.5K (2640 x 1216 pixels) and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Constructed with a metal frame and glass back, the phone promises a premium aesthetic and tactile experience.

Under the hood, the Find X8 Mini will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 chipset, delivering solid performance while maintaining efficiency. Additional features include full NFC functionality, an infrared blaster, dual stereo speakers, an x-axis linear motor for haptic feedback, and ColorOS 15 based on Android 15. Notably, the device is also rumoured to feature a novel push-type Alert Slider, adding a unique touch to its design and usability.
