OPPO has finally pulled back the curtain on its highly anticipated foldable smartphone, the Find N5, which is set to make its grand debut in China on February 20. The announcement was accompanied by a series of sleek images that highlighted the device’s refined design and colour options, giving fans a glimpse of what to expect. While rumours about the phone’s specs have been doing the rounds for some time, key details like the display size and battery capacity had remained shrouded in mystery—until now.

Specs:

A leaked screenshot from the Find N5’s “About Phone” section has surfaced online, revealing some juicy details about the upcoming flagship. According to the leak, the Find N5 (model PKH110) will feature an impressive 8.12-inch foldable inner display, offering users a massive canvas for productivity and entertainment. Unfortunately, there’s still no word on the size or resolution of the outer screen, leaving us to speculate for now.

Under the hood, the Find N5 will be powered by the cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, making it the first foldable smartphone to boast this powerhouse processor. This chip promises unparalleled performance, ensuring smooth multitasking, faster app launches, and enhanced gaming capabilities. To complement the processor, the device will come with a whopping 16GB of RAM, along with 12GB of virtual RAM and a generous 512GB of internal storage. This combination ensures that users won’t have to worry about running out of space or experiencing lag, even during intensive tasks.

Battery life has also seen a significant upgrade compared to its predecessor. While the Find N3 packed a respectable 4,805mAh battery, the Find N5 will house a much larger 5,600mAh unit, supporting 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. This means you can juice up the device in no time, whether you’re at home or on the go. Additionally, the phone will run on ColorOS 15, based on Android 15, delivering a host of new features and optimizations for a smoother user experience.

Downgraded Cameras:

When it comes to the cameras, the leaked details paint a mixed picture. The Find N5 will sport a triple rear camera setup, but it seems OPPO has opted for a slightly different configuration than what was initially rumoured. Instead of three 50-megapixel sensors, the phone will feature a 50-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel secondary lens, and another 50-megapixel sensor, likely a 3x periscope telephoto camera. For selfies, the device will include two 8-megapixel cameras —one on the outer display and another on the inner foldable screen.

This marks a noticeable step down from the Find N3, which featured a 32-megapixel front camera, a 20-megapixel internal camera, and a triple rear camera system consisting of a 48-megapixel main sensor, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 64-megapixel 3x periscope telephoto camera. While the Find N5’s camera specs may not match up to its predecessor, OPPO might compensate with advanced software algorithms and image processing to deliver high-quality shots.

OPPO has confirmed the use of the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, but it hasn’t officially verified the other leaked details. As such, it’s wise to take these revelations with a grain of salt until the company provides further clarification.

The upcoming launch event promises to be a showcase of innovation, blending top-tier hardware with OPPO’s signature design finesse. With its upgraded internals, larger battery, and foldable display, the Find N5 could very well set a new benchmark in the foldable smartphone market. Whether you’re a tech enthusiast or someone looking for a premium device, the Find N5 is shaping up to be a game-changer. Stay tuned as we count down to February 20!
