With the OnePlus Watch 3, OnePlus introduces several improvements over its predecessor. It has a larger, brighter display, is more durable, and can track more health data.
The OnePlus Watch 3 has an elegant design. It features a larger 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED display than the previous version. The display is brighter, providing better visibility in sunlight with a peak brightness of 2,200 nits. The watch is equipped with a titanium alloy bezel and a stainless steel body for durability and a modern look. The rotating crown makes navigation easier. Colour options include Emerald Titanium and Obsidian Titanium, with fluoro rubber straps. Scratch-resistant sapphire glass protects the display.
OnePlus Watch 3 continues to emphasize health tracking. In addition to a wrist temperature sensor, the device has an eight-channel heart rate sensor and a 16-channel blood oxygen sensor. New vascular health tests measure arterial stiffness. EKG functionality will be available in some regions but not in the US and Canada.
Users can use the Health Check-In feature to check their heart rate, blood oxygen level, wrist temperature, sleep quality, and vascular health within 60 seconds. Fitness tracking includes over 100 sports modes, including 11 professional modes. In cities, the GPS has a circular polarized antenna that improves accuracy.
The OnePlus Watch 3 boasts improved battery life. Compared to the previous model, the 631mAh battery lasts up to 120 hours (five days) in smart mode. The battery should last as long as 48 hours with heavy usage and can last as long as 16 days with power saving mode. It takes only 10 minutes to charge a full day’s worth of power. Powered by the Snapdragon W5 processor and BES2800BP chipset, the Watch 3 runs WearOS 5 and RTOS.
