Apple will replace the “Plus” model in the iPhone 17 series with the iPhone 17 Air, which has generated considerable speculation about its design and features.

A recent Front Page Tech video hosted by Jon Prosser discusses an alleged design, rumour, and leak of this highly anticipated device. According to reports, the iPhone 17 Air measures just 5.5mm to 6mm thick, making it one of the thinnest iPhones. It will feature a sleek, minimalist design with a single 48MP camera, microphone, and LED flash in the rear. Apple will likely add its unique elements to the design, although it is likely to resemble Google’s Pixel phones.

The iPhone 17 Air retains Apple’s Dynamic Island on the front but in a slimmer form. Prosser suggests that single-lens cameras may soon become obsolete as sensor technology and computational photography progress.

It is expected to be powered by the A19 chip, which is one step below the Pro models. Prosser believes the iPhone 17 Air will be more affordable, positioning it as a mid-range option rather than a premium one, despite rumours of a $1,300 price tag. In September 2025, Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 17 series, with more details about its design coming soon.
