Xiaomi is set to unveil the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, its newest flagship model that’s stirring excitement among photography buffs. This device is slated to enhance the macro photography experience significantly, featuring a macro camera with a minimum focus distance of roughly 10cm, as reported by the well-known tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo.

This capability allows for capturing sharp, intricate details effortlessly. The camera module will also sport a distinctive red-ring design and introduce a new coating on the telephoto lenses, which aims to reduce lens flare and boost image clarity, although specific details about the coating remain under wraps.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra will not only offer a revamped photography kit to improve the shooting experience but will also introduce stylish Morandi-style cases, departing from the plain leather designs previously seen in this series.

In terms of technical specifications, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra has been confirmed to support 90W fast charging, following its 3C certification, and it boasts capabilities as a “satellite mobile terminal,” making it adept for use in both urban and wilderness areas through Tiantong satellite calls and Beidou satellite text messaging.

Battery capacity is expected to exceed that of the Xiaomi 15 Pro, which has a 6100mAh battery, indicating a possible new benchmark for Xiaomi flagships. The charging technology will include both 90W wired and 50W wireless options.

Photographically, the phone is equipped with a cutting-edge 200MP periscope telephoto lens, a 50MP ‘medium-telephoto’ lens, and a large 1-inch main sensor with an f/1.63 aperture, positioning the Xiaomi 15 Ultra as a leader in camera technology.

Wei Siqi, a spokesperson for Xiaomi, has announced that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be officially launching in February, further heightening the anticipation for this feature-packed flagship.
