In 2024, Samsung integrated artificial intelligence into its Galaxy A series with the introduction of the “Circle to Search” feature. While more sophisticated Galaxy AI features have been exclusive to premium models, there are signs that these capabilities might extend to the Galaxy A series soon.
Samsung has filed several new trademark applications in Europe, the US, and South Korea aiming to trademark the term “Awesome Intelligence.” Notably, the term “Awesome” has been frequently associated with the Galaxy A series in marketing campaigns, using slogans like “Awesome is for everyone,” “Awesome screen,” and “Awesome camera.” This recurring theme makes it plausible to associate the new “Awesome Intelligence” trademark with the Galaxy A series, especially since the abbreviation neatly aligns with “AI.”
Although these trademark filings do not guarantee new features, they strongly suggest that Samsung might roll out more Galaxy AI functionalities to the Galaxy A series. The Galaxy A56, expected to be powered by the new Exynos 1580 chip, is a likely candidate to showcase these enhanced AI capabilities. This chip should be robust enough to support additional AI features such as text summarization and AI-driven notifications, which are anticipated to be part of the One UI 7 and Galaxy S25 suite.
