OnePlus is set to revamp its smartphone lineup with a fresh design approach in 2025, as disclosed by the company’s industrial designer Lao Haoran in a recent Weibo post. This announcement is supported by additional details from the notable leaker Digital Chat Station, who has revealed specifics about the upcoming devices, including changes in design and specifications.

The redesign will span across the main OnePlus series as well as their performance-oriented models, signalling a significant shift from the current aesthetics observed in the OnePlus 11 series from 2023. OnePlus aims to introduce new design languages that could include innovative textures and finishes, potentially utilizing novel materials and advanced manufacturing techniques. To further highlight these changes, OnePlus plans to launch a dedicated website focusing on design, showcasing the innovations and the thought process behind the new looks.

OnePlus Ace 5s Series & OnePlus 13 Mini:

For tech enthusiasts, the upcoming devices are rumoured to be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 or the overclocked Dimensity 9350 chipset, the latter featuring in a device that could potentially be part of the Ace 5-series. This particular model is expected to boast a substantial 7,000mAh battery and a flat OLED LTPS panel with 1.5K resolution support. The exact naming for these devices remains unclear, with speculation about names like Ace 5V and an Ace 5s series.

Moreover, the leak hints at a smaller format device under the Snapdragon 8 Elite branding, referred to as the OnePlus 13 Mini, slated for a Q2 2025 release.

This compact smartphone is expected to feature a flat LTPO OLED display with 1.5K resolution, an optical in-screen fingerprint scanner, and a sophisticated triple-camera system including a 50-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel 3x periscope camera.

Wireless charging capabilities and a large battery (size unspecified) are also on the list of anticipated features, enhancing the device’s appeal to those seeking high performance in a smaller package. These updates signify OnePlus’s commitment to innovation, aiming to make a significant impact on the smartphone market with its 2025 releases.
