The Poco F7 Ultra is expected to launch globally soon, appearing as a rebranded version of another device rather than a completely new model. Recent firmware leaks have revealed that the Poco F7 Ultra is essentially the Redmi K80 Pro, adjusted slightly for international markets. According to a report by 91mobiles Indonesia, the firmware for the Redmi K80 Pro includes clear references to the “Poco F7 Ultra” name and carries the model number “24122RKC7G.”
This model number is linked to the global version of the Poco F7 Ultra and was officially verified on January 13, 2025, by the SDPPI Postel certification. This lends credibility to previous rumours that the Redmi K80 Pro, which is currently available only in China, would be marketed as the Poco F7 Ultra outside of China. While the primary hardware components are expected to remain unchanged, there might be slight variations in specifications tailored to different international markets.
Redmi K80 Pro:
The Redmi K80 Pro 5G sport the new 12-bit OLED 6.67 inches 2K LTPS display with 120Hz refresh rates. It also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on top and HDR 10+ support. Additionally, the device is rumoured to feature a robust metal frame, encased by Dragon Crystal Glass on both sides, and it comes with an IP68 certification to offer protection against dust and water ingress.
The new Redmi K80 Pro 5G features triple-rear cameras with a 50MP Light Fusion 800 primary sensor with an aperture of f/1.88, OIS+EIS support, a 32MP 120-degree ISOCELL KD1 Ultra-wide-angle with an aperture of f/2.2, & 50MP 2.5x telephoto ISCOELL JN5 sensor with LED flash. It comes with an 8K video recording at 30fps and 1080p at 960fps. The Redmi K80 Pro 5G comes with a single selfie camera with a 20MP sensor.
The new Redmi K80 Pro will feature an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner along with an IR blaster. The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with Dual 4G LTE and VoLTE, 5G, Wifi 7, Dual Frequency GPS, GLONASS, NFC, FM Radio, USB Type-C port, & Bluetooth 5.4 support. The Redmi K80 Pro also features a 1217 Linear Speaker along with Smart PA & Dolby Atmos support.
