iQOO is gearing up for an exciting second quarter with the expected launch of its Z10 series in China. The lineup is set to include several models such as the Z10x, Z10, and notably, the Z10 Turbo and Z10 Turbo Pro. Famed leaker Digital Chat Station has been actively sharing details about these upcoming devices, particularly the high-performance Turbo variants.
According to recent leaks, the Z10 Turbo is rumoured to be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 chipset, while the Z10 Turbo Pro is expected to feature the more powerful Snapdragon 8s Elite processor. Both models are anticipated to boast significant battery upgrades, potentially exceeding 7,000mAh. The Z10 Turbo might offer a 7,000mAh battery paired with either 120W or 90W fast charging options. On the other hand, the Z10 Turbo Pro could impress with a 7,500mAh battery and 90W fast charging, ensuring extended usage and quicker recharge times.
These devices are expected to showcase flat OLED displays, enhancing the visual experience with vibrant colours and deeper blacks. The move to equip these models with such large battery capacities reflects the growing trend among smartphone manufacturers to utilize silicon batteries for their higher energy density and efficiency.
This anticipated launch puts iQOO in direct competition with rivals like Redmi, which is also rumoured to be launching its Redmi Turbo 4 Pro in April. This smartphone features a similar 7,500mAh battery and the Snapdragon 8s Elite chip. The competition extends to other models equipped with the Dimensity 8400 SoC, such as the Redmi Turbo 4 and the upcoming Realme Neo 7 SE, positioning the Z10 Turbo as a formidable contender in the high-performance smartphone market.
