Asus is set to unveil the Zenfone 12 Ultra on February 6, marking an earlier launch date compared to its predecessor from last year.

Ahead of the announcement, Asus upcoming flagship, labelled as “ASUSAI2501H,” has surfaced on Geekbench. This model number, previously spotted in an IMEI database, confirms it as the Zenfone 12 Ultra. According to the Geekbench listing, the device achieved a single-core score of 3,036 and a multi-core score of 9,656—performance figures consistent with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which is expected to power the phone.

The benchmarked unit was equipped with 16GB of RAM, though additional configurations may be offered. By comparison, the base model of last year’s Zenfone 11 Ultra featured 12GB of RAM. The device will run Android 15, as anticipated for a high-end smartphone launching in early 2025.

Interestingly, the Zenfone 12 Ultra may follow a familiar pattern. Last year’s Zenfone 11 Ultra was essentially a rebranded ROG Phone 8 Pro without the gaming-focused elements, such as LEDs on the back. If Asus maintains this strategy, the Zenfone 12 Ultra could be a streamlined version of the ROG Phone 9 Pro. Aside from the new Snapdragon chipset, the most notable upgrade could be the inclusion of a larger 5,800 mAh battery, up from 5,500 mAh in the previous model.

For now, all eyes are on the February 6 event, where more details about the Zenfone 12 Ultra will be revealed.
