According to Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi’s upcoming phone will feature Snapdragon 8s Elite. However, speculation suggests the device could be Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro, although the leaker has not revealed its name. The Civi 5 Pro may be announced around the same time as the Civi 4 Pro in China.
According to the leak, the Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro will feature a 1.5K resolution display with a quad-curved design and a centred dual-hole punch cutout reminiscent of Apple’s Dynamic Island. The device will have an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor integrated into the screen, according to a previous leak.
On its back panel, the Civi 5 Pro will feature a circular camera module similar to the Redmi K80. The Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro will also have a telephoto lens and Leica-engineered cameras, like its predecessor. It will have a fibreglass back panel.
Civi 5 Pro will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Elite chipset (SM8735), an iteration of the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. Moreover, the Civi 5 Pro will feature a slim design and a 5,000mAh battery.
A few other high-end flagship phones are expected to use Snapdragon 8s Elite chipsets as well. Redmi Turbo 4 Pro and iQOO 10 Turbo are also said to be equipped with Snapdragon 8s Elite. In the global market, the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro may be rebranded as the Poco F7. The Civi 5 Pro will likely be rebranded as the Xiaomi 15 Civi in India, similar to the Civi 4 Pro.
