According to tipster Digital Chat Station, MediaTek will unveil its highly anticipated Dimensity 8400 chipset on December 23. As its detailed configuration has now been revealed, the Dimensity 8400 should deliver a significant increase in power, making it a noteworthy midrange contender.
With TSMC’s 4nm process, the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 offers enhanced efficiency and performance. This chipset will offer a combination of three Cortex-A725 cores clocked at 3.25GHz, three Cortex-A725 cores clocked at 3.0GHz and four Cortex-A725 cores clocked at 2.1GHz. For demanding applications, this all-core CPU architecture delivers robust multitasking capabilities and smooth performance.
With its Immortalis G720 MC7 GPU clocked at 1.3GHz, the Dimensity 8400 promises improved graphics rendering and support for advanced gaming and multimedia applications.
In comparison, the Dimensity 8300 Ultra scored 1.4 million on the same platform, as tested on the Poco X6 Pro, according to DCS.
Featuring a flat OLED display with a 1.5K resolution, the device provides sharp and vibrant visuals. In addition, it will support 90W fast charging, which will significantly reduce charging times.
