The Samsung Galaxy Book 5 Pro laptop was unveiled in South Korea today. For faster AI performance, the laptop uses Intel’s Lunar Lake series chip. In Samsung’s current laptop lineup, the Galaxy Book 5 Pro joins the Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360.
Samsung has announced the Galaxy Book 5 Pro for the South Korean market. Beginning January 2, 2025, you can purchase it. There are two colour options: grey and silver, and it is available in two sizes: 14-inch and 16-inch.
Specs:
Both laptops feature the Intel Core Ultra Processor Series 2 processor, which features a 47 TOPS NPU for on-device AI. There is no information about the new laptop’s memory or storage yet provided by Samsung.
Galaxy Book 5 Pro has a 14-inch or 16-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x screen with QHD+ resolution and 120Hz variable refresh rate. Vision Booster also provides higher brightness in outdoor conditions. There are four speakers on the laptop (2 tweeters and 2 woofers).
Samsung’s onboard webcam on this laptop features staggered HDR for the first time. For a wide dynamic range and better colors, it merges multiple frames at different exposures. It has a backlit keyboard and a large multitouch trackpad (with Windows Precision drivers).
The large battery inside the Galaxy Book 5 Pro can last up to 25 hours. It comes with one HDMI 2.1 port, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a USB Type-A port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. A microSD card slot is also included.
Windows 11 is installed on it, as well as Galaxy AI and Microsoft Copilot+. With the Galaxy Book 5 Pro, you can circle anything on the screen and search the internet for information about it using AI Select. Additionally, it has a Photo Remaster feature that upscales low-resolution images.
There are also Multi Control, Quick Share, and Second Screen features on the laptop that are compatible with the Galaxy ecosystem.
