The Galaxy S25 series is expected to launch in January, and all three models will feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. There is one area where the Galaxy S25 Ultra could benefit, though.

Jukanlosreve, who is a popular tipster on Twitter, said that the Galaxy S25 Ultra would be available in three variants: a 12GB / 256GB model, a 16GB / 512GB model, and a 16GB / 1TB model.

As a result, the 512GB and 1TB models have more RAM than the S24 Ultra’s 512GB and 1TB variants (16GB versus 12GB). As a result, you don’t need to purchase the top-end model to get more memory. Samsung has decided to keep the base Galaxy S25 Ultra’s RAM and storage at 12GB and 256GB, respectively.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra has not been the first device to receive some kind of RAM upgrade. In September, there was a leak indicating a 16GB RAM variant.

Samsung hasn’t revealed what it will do with all of this RAM, but the Pixel 9 Pro phones always reserve almost 3GB for AI tasks. You shouldn’t be surprised if Samsung reserves a healthy amount of RAM for Galaxy AI.
