Early this month, Samsung announced One UI 7 Beta, and the roadmap for the next release can be found on the Community pages.
It states that the first beta will be released today, December 16; the second beta will be released on December 23, and the third beta will be released seven days later, on December 30. Samsung India confirmed the news. Other beta-participating countries should see a similar timeline.
Samsung Members app users in Germany, India, Korea, Poland, the United Kingdom, and the United States have been seeded One UI 7 Beta.
Among Samsung’s new features are an AI assistant and call transcripts, as well as a refreshed, simplified interface. Reorganized camera controls, modes, and buttons have also been added to the camera app.
Samsung begins by highlighting its AI capabilities, including writing assistance tools that make writing and formatting text easier. Additionally, the AI assistant can summarize text, correct spelling and grammar, and format notes into comprehensive bullet points.
Similar to Google Pixel’s call transcript feature, AI includes call transcripts.
The design has also undergone a major change. In terms of look and functionality, Samsung went for a simpler approach. That’s what led to the new Now Bar. Your lock screen appearance will be de-cluttered with relevant activities from apps like Interpreter, Music, Recording, Stopwatch, etc. By doing so, you get instant access to the most important notifications and actions, so you don’t have to unlock them as often.
The camera also received UI improvements. The buttons, controls, and modes have been reorganized to make them easier to use. In addition, the viewfinder has been redesigned to provide a better preview of your stills and videos.
