Snapdragon 8 Elite from Qualcomm has been revealed with improved performance and efficiency. Those upgrades, however, came with a hefty price hike for the 8 Elite. New leaks hint that its successor will also receive a significant price hike.
According to KiPost, the news has just been released. Qualcomm might increase the price of the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 (or Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2) again by 2025, according to this report. While the Snapdragon 8 Elite’s price has already increased substantially, this price increase comes on top of it. Snapdragon 8 Elite was released with a price bump of 20 to 30 percent.
Qualcomm is expected to bring around a 20 percent improvement in performance to its 2025 flagship chipset with its Snapdragon 8 Elite 2. This is in line with a previous report we published. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 does not yet have a lot of information available. If TSMC’s N3P process is used, the chipmaker might have a performance boost of 20 percent or more, which is TSMC’s newest 3nm process.
With the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, we won’t see another massive performance increase.
