OnePlus 13 series, including OnePlus 13 and 13R, will launch internationally on January 7. OnePlus has been tight-lipped about the 13R’s detailed specifications, but Amazon India has revealed one crucial aspect: its processor.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset will power the OnePlus 13R, ensuring a performance upgrade over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-based OnePlus 12R. The Snapdragon 8 Elite chip also distinguishes it from the flagship OnePlus 13.
In addition to confirming the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, Amazon India’s promo page also teased AI capabilities like “AI Notes,” which promise to improve productivity. We can now look forward to the 13R, which is confirmed to feature a huge 6,000mAh battery. With the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, users can expect long battery life and seamless performance.
On both the front and back of the OnePlus 13R, there will be a flat display protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, while the frame is made from aluminium. Its 8mm thickness promises durability without sacrificing aesthetics.
Among the key improvements are a larger battery (up from 5500mAh), a flatter design, IP69 water and dust resistance, and, of course, improved performance.
