A couple of months after Apple launched its iPhone 16 series, early leaks have teased the design of the iPhone 17 lineup. This leaked render shows a major change in design on the rear.

On Weibo (a Chinese microblogging site), tipster Digital Chat Station shared a render of the iPhone 17 series model. Apple is keeping the pill-shaped module that we saw on the base iPhone 16. They are based on the recent Google Pixel 9 and are not vertically stacked.

According to the leaked renders, there are three camera sensors and an LED flash. Apple brought a design refresh to the iPhone 16, but it appears the iPhone 17 will make a larger change. It would be the biggest change to the iPhone in years if this leak is true. Digital Chat Station speculates that Android smartphone makers may also adopt a similar camera setup.

This iPhone 17 Pro series model has three camera sensors. Additionally, the leaked iPhone 17 Pro features a dedicated camera button. As this is an early leak, please take this with a grain of salt. Such a massive change from Apple seems unlikely. Stay tuned for more information about the next gen iPhones as we will update you when more information becomes available. Apple’s 2025 iPhone lineup may include an iPhone 17 Air, which could be over 2mm thinner than the iPhone 16.
