While Xiaomi’s newly announced Xiaomi 15 series is stealing the spotlight right now, Xiaomi 15 Ultra rumours are already circulating. It’s still months away from release, but new details are surfacing all the time.

Digital Chat Station recently leaked details about the phone’s camera system, which looks astounding. In the leak, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is said to have a 50MP sensor with a 23mm focal length and an aperture of f/1.6. The physical focal length has been increased, improving low-light performance.

There is also a reference to “new customized hardware modules” in the leak, which might refer to the main sensor of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. It’s unclear, however, what the tipster is implying.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to boast a 200MP periscope telephoto lens for telephoto capabilities. With an f/2.6 aperture and 4.3x optical zoom, this lens has a focal length of 100mm.

There are two zoom possibilities – 4.3x when using the 1/1.5-inch sensor and 4.1x when using the whole 1/1.4-inch sensor – described in more detail in the leak. The sensor has a “slightly cropped” 25.xmm focal length and 4.1x when using the full 1/1.4-inch sensor.

According to an earlier report, the phone will also be equipped with a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN5 sensor. The setup is completed by a 50MP periscope lens with 2x zoom. It is said that the phone features an OmniVision OV32B 32MP camera up front.
