Xiaomi recently introduced HyperOS 2, and while initially only a rollout schedule for China was revealed, the official global schedule has now been released, dispelling earlier rumours and leaks. The good news for global users is that you won’t have to wait until next year to experience the new operating system.

The rollout starts this month. The first devices in line for the HyperOS 2 update include the Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro. The Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Ultra models will join them shortly. The Xiaomi 13T Pro will be updated this month, although the standard 13T model is not included in this initial wave. Other devices scheduled for the November update include the entire Redmi Note 13 series and the Poco X6, X6 Pro, F6 Pro, and M6 Pro. The Mix Flip is also among the first to adopt this new software.

In December, a comprehensive update rollout is planned for several devices. This includes The Xiaomi 13T, along with the Poco F6 and M6. Devices from previous generations like the Xiaomi 13, 12, and 11 series, extending to models like the 12T and 12T Pro. From the Redmi brand, both the 13 and 12 models, covering both 4G and 5G versions, and the whole Redmi Note 12 lineup.

Additionally, older Poco models such as the X5 Pro, F5, F5 Pro, X4 GT, and F4 GT are scheduled for updates. Notably, even the recently launched Poco C75, which initially came with HyperOS version 1, will be included in this update.

Last set of devices:

By the end of 2024, Xiaomi is set to update several of its devices to HyperOS 2, with a focus primarily on flagship models. Here’s a summary:
  • Smartphones:
    • Devices from 2022 are eligible for the update, but not all models will receive it. Notably, the Poco X4 Pro and the regular version of the F4 are not included in the update list.
    • The update extends back to include some older flagships like the Xiaomi Mi 11 and Mi 11 Ultra, which were released around the end of 2020 and the beginning of 2021, indicating that flagship models have a longer support cycle.
  • Tablets and Wearables:
    • The rollout begins in November with the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 and the Smart Band 9 Pro.
    • In December, the update will extend to include the Xiaomi Pad 6, Poco Pad, and several models from the Redmi Pad lineup.
This update strategy shows Xiaomi’s commitment to enhancing its ecosystem with HyperOS 2, focusing on both recent and some older flagship devices, while also covering newer tablets and wearables. However, mid-range and certain budget models from earlier years might not see this update.
