Xiaomi just announced the REDMI K80 and K80 Pro smartphones at an event in China, as it had promised. The phones feature a 6.67-inch 2K AMOLED flat screen jointly developed with TCL featuring new M9 luminescent material offering peak brightness of up to 3200 nits, and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Redmi K80 Pro:
The Redmi K80 Pro 5G sport the new 12-bit OLED 6.67 inches 2K LTPS display with 120Hz refresh rates. It also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on top and HDR 10+ support. Redmi K80 Pro 5G is powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Eitle SoC. The Redmi K80 Pro 5G comes with 12GB/16GB/24GB RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB storage version.
Additionally, the device is rumoured to feature a robust metal frame, encased by Dragon Crystal Glass on both sides, and it comes with an IP68 certification to offer protection against dust and water ingress.
The new Redmi K80 Pro 5G features triple-rear cameras with a 50MP Light Fusion 800 primary sensor with an aperture of f/1.88, OIS+EIS support, a 32MP 120-degree ISOCELL KD1 Ultra-wide-angle with an aperture of f/2.2, & 50MP 2.5x telephoto ISCOELL JN5 sensor with LED flash. It comes with an 8K video recording at 30fps and 1080p at 960fps. The Redmi K80 Pro 5G comes with a single selfie camera with a 20MP sensor.
The new Redmi K80 Pro will feature an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner along with an IR blaster. The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with Dual 4G LTE and VoLTE, 5G, Wifi 7, Dual Frequency GPS, GLONASS, NFC, FM Radio, USB Type-C port, & Bluetooth 5.4 support.
