Those looking for the best gaming experience on Samsung Galaxy phones may be interested in the upcoming One UI 7 update.

One UI 7 could introduce a hidden option to disable thermal throttling completely, according to Chuvn8888, a reliable source with accurate updates on Samsung.

When the phone’s internal temperature gets too high, thermal throttling automatically slows down the processor. Using this method prevents overheating, which can damage components and shorten the life of a device. During graphically intensive activities, such as gaming, however, performance can suffer.

According to Chuvn8888, the Samsung skin will include a toggle to disable thermal throttles in the Developer Options. It typically contains advanced settings that are not intended for general users, as modifying them may result in unintended effects.

Samsung has experimented with such a feature before. The Samsung Device Health Manager Service was available through a third-party app in One UI 6.

Later, Samsung removed this workaround, indicating some reluctance about bypassing thermal throttling. In One UI 7, this functionality may be reintroduced. If not handled carefully, Developer Options can negatively impact a phone’s stability if they are not intended for advanced users.
