Samsung has remained surprisingly quiet about the Android 15 update, but we’re eagerly awaiting One UI 7 for Galaxy devices. The company has officially announced the update, but it appears to be premature.

Samsung’s Spanish website officially mentions One UI 7 according to leaker Chunvn8888 on X. According to Samsung’s official website, One UI 7 will be centered on Galaxy AI, with “AI powering every step.”

In this official video, Samsung shows off the new icons, the smart notification centre, and the new lock screen. You can also use AI to transform a sketch into an incredible image, according to Samsung. One UI 7 will add new features such as 3D Cartoon, Sketch, and Watercolor to the Sketch to Image feature already available on recent Galaxy devices.

You need a Samsung Account and a network connection to use Sketch to Image. With AI, you will be able to resize an image up to 12MP and add a visible watermark indicating that it has been generated using AI.

The Portrait Studio feature in One UI 7 turns your portraits into artistic profile pictures. It also requires a Samsung Account login and produces a 9MP image with a visible watermark. Live Effects in One UI 7 allows you to add depth and perspective to your photos.

One UI 7 appears to add some child safety features to Samsung’s Galaxy Store. A guardian account will need to grant permission for children’s accounts to purchase apps.

In addition to Circle to Search capabilities, Live Translate, and AI Zoom, Samsung Spain’s One UI 7 page mentions others. One UI 6.1.1 already includes these features, so we are not sure what new bits are being highlighted here. As well as the Energy Score feature, the official One UI 7 page also highlights the Wear OS 5 Watch app, so it isn’t unique to One UI 7.

Samsung Galaxy devices compatible with Galaxy AI will be offered free of charge until the end of 2025, according to the website. Samsung has not shared any release dates or rollout information, so this page may have gone live prematurely.

Further, Galaxy AI features will be available on these devices starting in Q4 2024:
